It appears as if this broadside was an advertisement put out by Colt's Firearms seeking foriegn government contracts for the new Gatling Gun. It showed test results from trials at Vienna, July 9th, 1869; Carlsuhe, Baden August, 1869; Vienna, July 17th, 1868; and Fort Monroe, USA, which would indicate production of this broadside circa 1870. It is titled "Gatling's System of Fire Arms / Manufactured at COLT'S PATENT FIREARMS MANUFACTURING CO. Hartford, Conn". Shows images of four Gatling Guns; one on tripod and three on carriages, along with a Gatling mounted on top of a camel. In the center are five dissected views of the cartridge. Measures 21-1/2" x 29-3/4". Framed to 25-1/2" x 34". CONDITION: Poster is in excellent condition, all original, with some light folds and a hint of toning. No evidence of tears, creases, or water damage. It is framed and still have its original hand blown glass intact. It is the only such broadside that we have ever seen or heard of and it would be nearly impossibly to find another.
