In the original box, marked "Series 2000", with "Don Durant as Johnny Ringo Four Star Pamaron Zane Grey" in upper-left corner. Includes house, gold mine, trees, wagons, horses, cowboys, Indians, fence, steers and many other accessories. Probably the most desirable of all the Marx play sets made, first produced in 1960 and based on the very short-lived CBS television show, which aired from 1959 to 1960, produced by none other than Aaron Spelling. The main character was portrayed by Don Durant. Play set includes Johnny Ringo figure, which is the rarest of the Marx western character figures. Also unique to the set is a hard plastic "Velardi" sign, which points to the fictional Arizona town where Ringo became sheriff after giving up his gunfighting ways. Other rare play set figures include the red and yellow wagons, the light grey-colored porch and chimney. This particular example is complete and in excellent condition, as are the box, bags, dividers and instructions, with flat tin. For the serious collector.
