William Bond & Son Two-day Marine Chronometer, Boston, no. 532, with 4-1/2" diameter silvered brass dial inscribed "Wm. Bond & Son, Boston, No. 532", roman numerals, up-down indicator and seconds dial below, gilt spade hour, minute, and indicator hands, blued-steel seconds, screw-fit glazed bezel, brass gimbal and bowl, chain drive fusee movement. In a three-tier, brass-bound, rosewood box with brass carrying handles, measuring 8-1/4" X 8-1/4" X 8-1/2" high. The front of the box with mother-of-pearl plate inscribed "Wm. Bond & Son / Boston / No 532". Excellent running condition. Box contained in a felt-lined mahogany box of recent construction. CORRECTION: Photo added.
