Desirable screw under wedge early variation of the Colt Model 1851 Navy. Single line New York address. One piece walnut grips. Blade font sight installed into barrel Gain twist rifling with square back brass trigger guard. CONDITION. Fair as having been modestly restored. Frame number has been restamped and loading lever and retaining screw are replacements. Cylinder has no trace of Ormsby scene remaining. Grips are slightly undersized. The early first model 181 Navy revolvers with screw under wedge are very difficult to find in any condition. Over all finish is a mellow brown patina. Action operates properly.
