Standard configuration contemporary copy of the famous Samuel Hawken plains percussion rifle as built by Gene Moss. 32" octagon .58 caliber rifled barrel with Rocky Mountain sights, patent breech percussion ignition system, and stamped just like the original "S.HAWKEN ST. LOUIS". Maple half stock with iron hardware and brass tack decoration along with a full silver eagle and plate marked "S. HAWKEN". Comes in wooden coffin style case with rifle decoration and marked "GENE MOSS" with caps and ramrods. CONDITION: Metal aged to appear period with light surface rust. Wood has remaining hand rubbed finish with light dings and marks. Good bore and mechanics. Case in good condition. A great rifle for the Western enthusiast or to take on a buffalo hunt like in the days of the mountain men.
