Standard configuration of the Remington-Elliot .41 RF Derringer, which utilizes an ingenious combination ejector, mainspring, and hammer as designed by William Elliot. Matching serial number on frame and barrel, 2 piece grips retained by a single screw through an escutcheon. Housed in a wooden case designed to imitate a book with royal purple lining, fitted for the gun, 14 rounds of .41 RF ammo (mixed headstamps), and a brass ejector rod. Accompanied by a small silver trophy (no markings as to content), engraved "N.R.A / Gun Collectors Committee / Trophy 1973". CONDITION: Overall very good, metal is essentially dove grey throughout with crisp legends, some minor handling marks throughout, none serious. Grips are very good and free of cracks or chips. Mechanically fine, bore has softened visible rifling with some areas of minor oxidation. Ammo is good with oxidized heads, brass rod has some minor marks from handling and use, with visible solder. Case is very good, some rubs to case with and distress to lining, particularly where grip rubs case. Trophy is very good with some tarnishing and rubs from age.
