This navy dates to 1867, after the war had ended. The left side of the barrel is stamped " 15th PENNSYLVANIA ANDERSON CAVALRY" The Anderson cavalry was mustered out of service in 1863. We cannot provide a verification as to when this stamp was applied but definitely not carried by any member of that unit during the war. Revolver is standard in all respects, has the New York barrel legend, octagon barrel, naval roll die receiver, brass grip stamps and trigger guard. Revolver has all matching serial numbers with exception to wedge which has no visible number. CONDITION: Very good. There is still evidence of partial naval cylinder scene. The left side of barrel still shows flashes of blue, otherwise, there is no visible original finish and now shows an overall grey appearance. Barrel legends are crisp. Action displays a strong half cock and indexes properly. Bore is very well defined with some abrasion. Comes with copies of history of the Anderson cavalry.
