A Colt revolver property of Peter Scott LeRoy of Corbin, Montana. Has matching serial #53714 numbers on the frame, trigger guard, back strap, cylinder and under barrel. The barrel has the one line Colt address. Frame has the three line patent dates. Loading gate has 134 assembly number. Trigger bow is stamped .45 CAL. Grips are one piece walnut. Gun has second style ejector head as well as black powder screw in cylinder pin release. Gun is factory nickel. CONDITION Excellent. The barrel retains approximately 70% clouded nickel. The frame retains about 60%. The cylinder is a soft grey metal tone. The grips have lost most of their original finish. What does not retain nickel has a homogenous soft metal blending perfectly with the nickel. The action has all four clicks with strong half cock. The bore is strong and bright with light abrasions. The legends are all sharp. A nice clean early nickel Peacemaker.
INCLUDED: Colt Factory Letter / Letter from Family of LeRoy / History of LeRoy.

PROVENANCE: EX Ron and Linda Gillett Collection

ADDENDUM: Scan of factory letter uploaded.
