Factory letter states that rifle No. 129307 left the factory July 13th, 1883 with an octagon barrel, set trigger, case hardened and with a checkered stock. Caliber is not listed. Features full octagon barrel, full magazine, sporting sights, straight grip checkered walnut buttstock with deluxe wood and rifle butt, checkered forearm, and case colored hammer, lever and frame. Barrel retains approximately 75% blue mixing evenly with soft patina. Tube is basically brown patina. The deluxe stocks are very good to excellent with beautiful grain. Checkering shows wear. Flashes of color on frame, lever and hammer with some age spotting and dull nickel appearance. 70% fire blue on loading gate. Strong, clean rifling and fine action. Very handsome deluxe 1873 with a great untouched look.
