Early model Henry lever action repeating rifle, serial number 682. 24" barrel chambered in .44 Henry Rimfire with correct smaller barrel address marking, half-moon German silver blade front sight integral to muzzle collar, early style dovetail slots in both barrel and frame for rear sight, and 1st Model ladder rear sight graduated for 1000 yards. Brass frame with "H" factory inspection marking on rear of lower tang. Matching serial numbers observed on barrel near address, inside of lower receiver tang on left side, top tang channel of stock, buttplate screws, and inside of buttplate. Loading gate and barrel bear the assembly number 14. Appropriate stock with abrupt comb angle and perch belly contour. Complete with 4-piece full-length hickory cleaning rod. CONDITION: Excellent for its age, with brass assemblies turned a pleasing mellow patina. Barrel is an even brown patina with scattered light handling marks. Stock is excellent with scattered handling marks and a protective layer of varnish added after being lightly cleaned. Cleaning rod is excellent. Mechanically fine. Bore is bright with modest abrasion toward muzzle and crisp 6 groove rifling. TON
