The 2-stage French barrel is unmarked and features a small brass half-moon front sight. The lock has spurious "C. BIRD & Co. / PHILADA / WARRANTED" markings in center. Iron furniture is unengraved and in the French style. French Empire stock of plain walnut, wooden ramrod is a replacement. CONDITION: Barrel shows scattered heavy pitting and retains a grey patina. Lock is a reconversion and shows a grey patina with scattered pitting. Furniture has a grey patina and is heavily pitted. Stock shows some wood replaced above rear lock tang and some repairs. DMG
