.22 caliber, 9-1/2” octagonal barrel with dovetailed sights. Marked with three German proofs on bottom flat and in front of forend, top flat engraved with repeating intertwined patterns. Engraved percussion action polished bright. Engraved steel trigger guard with uniquely-shaped bow, molded steel butt cap is engraved and terminates in a turned finial. Walnut stock with fluted pistol grip and relief carved panel of foliage on forend. Good condition, re-browned barrel shows wear to engraving, edge wear and has scattered areas of light pitting. Action has been heavily cleaned and is now polished in the white. Steel furniture with dark grey patina and scattered pitting. Stock good, showing some edge wear, a small crack to tip of forend, some losses of finish, and scattered marks from use.
