A truly unique firearm most likely made in Belgium in the 19th Century. Gun has a tube magazine on top of the barrel where you feed Volcanic Style cartridges and as the trigger is pulled a block raises and a fresh cartridge is inserted. Octagon barrel marked on bottom "VC 701" with fine grooved rifling. Iron frame with marksman style trigger guard. Walnut one piece plain grip with steel butt cap with lanyard knob. CONDITION: Metal has turned a silvery patina with areas of surface pitting. Wood has oil soaked appearance. Bore is good with sharp lands and grooves. Good mechanics. DLM
