Percussion side by side "cape" gun made by renowned maker Nelson Lewis of Troy, New York circa 1870. Hook breech 29 - 3/4" steel side by side barrels with .45 caliber rifled barrel on right and a 16 gauge smoothbore on left, with smooth concave rib marked "N LEWIS MAKER TROY NY", rifle sights, and hole in breech for lollipop sight. Unmarked percussion locks with double trigger control (front set). Matching dog's head hammers. Plain walnut 1-piece half stock with steel hardware, patchbox, and nosecap. Comes with original hardwood ramrod. CONDITION: Overall good with metal turning a silvery patina. Stock has traces of original finish with usage marks and dings with good bores and functioning mechanics.
