Appears to be a Balkans type style and design. There are no visible maker markings or proof marks. It is an original percussion system pistol with a one piece carved and incised striped maple type wood and finish featuring a gold cast side plate, wrist escutcheon, pommel and trigger guard. The Damascus barrel bas relief engraving with numerous gold accents. The same combination and design is also exhibited on the hammer and lock. The two trumpets are also finished in gold and hold a brass tipped wood rod. CONDITION: Fine. All iron hardware is a smooth grey patina. The stock is excellent and exhibits a piano finish. The hammer gargoyle displays gold eyes. Mechanically sound. The smooth bore is relatively clean. An extremely striking and highly decorated pistol.
