Manufacture Francaise d'Armes et Cycles de St. Etienne produced these concealable squeeze fired palm pistols circa 1893 through 1912. This lovely example is blued with high coverage factory floral engraving on the body and barrel. The ribbed barrel is fitted with a German silver bead front sight and marked with "GAULOIS" and a Manufance crossed arrows logo. The squeeze trigger assembly is case hardened with a checkered gutta percha pad. CONDITION: Very fine. The vast majority of the original blue is retained although is fading, especially on the front strap where it has drifted to a gray patina. Case colors are strong although have muted somewhat. Pad has a few superficial marks. Bore is heavily frosted. Action appears to cycle correctly. A very handsome curiosa.
