Using Civil War era Springfield parts converted to Trapdoor .50-70 rifle. Has an 1863 dated US Springfield Eagle lock, three bands, finished in the white. Block does not have stamp. Buttplate is stamped "19" and "US (unit mark)". Walnut stock cartouche is not visible. Features standard two leaf folding rear sight and two piece trigger guard with sling. CONDITION: Beautiful rifle; clean white metal finish. Sharp legends. Stock refinished to near mint. Mirror bore. Comes with period leather sling with brass hook and two keepers.
