Manufactured in 1895. This is the first ever deluxe 10 o'clock screw model 1894 this writer has ever observed. There is an "1950" assembly number inside tang and in rear stock channel along with "XXX" for deluxe grain walnut. Walnut stock is checkered with Winchester grip cap, rifle buttplate, and matching forearm. Also features the special close set double triggers. Equally rare is the take down feature. Features an octagon barrel, full tube magazine, blue finish, dovetailed front sight, semi-buckhorn rear sight. CONDITION: Very good. The majority of blue finish has drifted to a soft plum. The early two line Winchester barrel address is sharp. The case colors have darkened. The stock is solid, proud to metal, with scattered small dings and bruises. The checkering is still quite crisp. Mechanically functioning. Bore is well defined but dull with very minor abrasion. An extremely sharp example of an impossibly rare early Model 1894. From the Robert C. Renneberg Collection
