Shipped September 20, 1893 as a plain rifle with octagon barrel in .45-90. Rifle is fit with a blued 26" octagon barrel chambered in .45-90 with 2-line address and sporting sights. Case hardened receiver and blued lever. Plain 2-piece walnut stocks with steel nose cap and crescent rifle butt plate. Accompanied by factory research. CONDITION: Fine. Barrel retains more than 90% of its factory-applied blue with some mild high edge wear and spotting. Bolt likewise retains nearly all of its blue, showing little use. Magazine tube has faded to brown patina. Receiver retains significant traces of case color, largely faded to patina. Stocks retain portions of varnish with an overall lightly cleaned, age darkened appearance. Bore is especially fine and bright. Crisp mechanics.
