Outstanding quality facsimile copy of the Colt 3rd Model Dragoon. Unknown manufacture but made exactly like an original. This gun came from an important collection in the north west of the United States. Thought to be authentic for many years until recently discovered to be counterfeit. CONDITION, Very good as the exterior has a smooth plumb patina. One piece walnut stocks are slightly undersized, but well fitting with the proper color and finish as period originals. Trigger guard and backstrap have a mustard colored patina. Cylinder is slightly battered and wedge in not numbered. Bore is slightly dark with string gain twist rifling. Action functions properly. Really a unique Colt collectible.
