1922 vintage Colt Single Action Army revolver, serial number 343400. 7 - 1/2" round barrel in .38 Winchester Center Fire (.38-40 WCF) with blade front sight and frame notch rear. Low profile ejector rod head. 2 piece replacement checkered gutta percha grips featuring a Rampant Colt on either side in an oval. Complete with factory letter documenting configuration as well as shipment to Grant F. Reynolds on August 24, 1922 in a shipment of 1 gun. Comes with a Colt hardwood case with red velvet lined interior with silk for lid lining and Colt logo on top of case. CONDITION: Excellent, with a vast majority of the original bluing remaining with minor holster wear near muzzle and handling marks throughout. Trigger guard and backstrap are showing some wear related finish loss throughout from handling. Frame shows bright case colors. Grips are excellent with no major signs of distress. Action is out of time, but relationship between sear and hammer is crisp. Bore is bright and shiny with sharp rifling. Case is very good with handling marks on edges. TON
