Manufactured circa 1919. Full coverage engraved in the "Texas Cattlebrand" style popular throughout the 20th century, as made famous by Cole Agee and continued on by Weldon Bledsoe and David Wade Harris. Engraving comprised of cattlebrands on a punchdot background with accenting scrollwork. Further embellished with nickel plating and gold wash on ejector rod housing, cylinder, and hammer. Mounted with 2-piece Colt mother of pearl grips featuring a Rampant Colt medallion on each side. CONDITION: Excellent overall. Virtually all of the nickel plating is remaining. A vast majority of the gold wash remains on ejector rod housing and hammer, with gold wash visible in protected areas on cylinder. Gold wash on cylinder has mostly worn to the plating underneath. Grips are excellent with no major signs of distress. Mechanically fine with all 4 hammer stops. Full cock notch is soft. Bore is frosted with crisp rifling.
