22" Lightweight barrel is fitted with banded on sling eye. VZ-24 Model 98 action has bolt altered to clear scope, and aftermarket shroud with Model 70 safety installed. Bottom metal consists of trigger guard and escutcheon for front screw with no floorplate to reduce weight. A commercial trigger has been installed. Capped pistol grip stock of fine fiddle figured flashy Claro walnut measures 14" over thin black Old English pad, and features Monte Carlo comb with long swept right hand cheekpiece, rosewood forend tip, and rosewood grip cap with inlet oval engraved "BB". Checkering at grip and forend of borderless point pattern is well cut. Rifle is mounted with Leupold Vari - X 3 X 9 Compact scope with duplex reticle in Leupold rings and one piece base. Weight with scope: 7 lbs 9 oz. CONDITION: Excellent. All metal parts retain nearly all gray nitride finish with a few scattered scratches. Stock has scattered marks and dings in its original oil finish. Bore is excellent. Action is smooth. Scope is excellent, optically clear. A nicely appointed lightweight sporter. MGM194
