We believe this to be factory engraved as it is in the white, there is un-engraved space on right side where crown proof would normally be but is not stamped either there or on the barrel. The K range for an engraved gun is proper and built in 1943. The style of engraving is typically Germanic with deep cut floral pattern, punch dot background and has nearly full coverage. Has a blued hammer, safety, magazine release, trigger and trigger guard. The brown wrap-around one piece Party Leader eagle and swastika grips are original, as is the Bakelite magazine bump. This exact pistol was sold at Butterfield & Butterfield on August 23rd, 1999. There are no other Nazi marks besides the grips. Remains in superb all original condition with a fine bore and action and comes with a period correct Walther PPK stamped brown leather holster.
