The first offering of O.F. Mossberg, produced from 1919 to 1932. This early, circa 1919 or 1920 made, example is correctly marked on the right "PAT. APPL'D. FOR". Finished in nickel with a blued trigger. Standard tilt down 4-barrel assembly chambered in .22 RF. Grips are vertically serrated walnut. Remarkably, the seldom-seen nitre blue ejector is retained by this example. CONDITION: Very fine overall. Nearly all of the factory nickel is retained with some clouding and a few flakes. Strong blue retained on the trigger and extractor. Grips have sharp serrations and a few light marks. Good bores and fine mechanics. These pocket pistols are not often found in such condition, especially with desirable early features.
