Based on the design of famed gunmaker Emil Flues, the Ithaca gun company sprang in to forefront of Single Barrel trap sales in the early 20th Century. This particular gun is a Grade IV with a straight stock. It has a raised ventilated matted rib with twin white beads. It is engraved with a shooter at the trap line on left and American Eagle on right surrounded by floral scroll engraving. The straight grip buttstock, with fleur-de-lis behind the action has a gold shield near the toe and terminates with a hardening and slightly crushed Pachmayr white lined pad. The round nose forend with push button release is checkered with Fleur-de-Lis pattern. CONDITION: Very good as partially restored. Action retains about 60% of its original case color. Buttstock and forend retain most of an older restored finish with checking beginning to thin just a touch. Barrels, and trigger guard retain most of an older restored finish. Bore is bright with orange peel. Mechanics are good. JSL
