Austrian made Pirschbuchse (stalking rifle) by Johann Springer Wien, Austria prior to World War II. Blued 25" faceted to round barrel in 7x64mm with raised matted sight plane, ramped front sight, notched rear, claw scope mounts, and marked "JOH. SPRINGER ERBEN, GEWEHRFABRIKANTEN, WIEN". Case hardened "Heeren" single shot action with full coverage vignette engraving, side safety, and interesting set trigger. Checkered walnut pistol grip Monte Carlo stock with Silver's style hard rubber recoil pad and gold wash German silver vanity plate. Matching checkered walnut Alpine style forestock with horn tip. CONDITION: 95% original blue with light edge wear. 95% fading case colors with handling wear. 95% original hand rubbed finish with light handling marks. Good bore and mechanics.
