This fine Luger was out of the original contract of guns made by Krieghoff in 1936 for the German Luftwaffe. On pages 166 - 167 of Gibson's book "The Krieghoff Parabellum", it talks about this run of guns with approximately 2,900 being manufactured of this variation. It has all of the correct "(eagle) / 2" proof marks. All of the numbers match including the magazine. The magazine is the correct type extruded, Plated Haenel. The hold-open device is unnumbered. Correct coarse checkered brown grips. CONDITION: Gun retains most of the factory-applied blue finish with some slight high edge wear and holster wear. Grips are mint with sharp and crisp checkering. Bright and shiny bore with sharp lands and grooves. REW
CORRECTION: All numbers are matching, including the magazine, with the exception of the firing pin which is number '44'.
