Lot consists of (A) Remington Model 141 slide action rifle. Made circa 1945. Standard patent dates on the barrel. "35" marked tube. Standard Remington proof on the right side of the barrel. Round steel barrel with blade front sight and U-notch leaf rear. Factory blued finish on the metal components. Oil finished wood stock with a ribbed forearm. Factory serrated butt plate. Includes attached military style leather sling. CONDITION: Metal retains 95% of its original finish with a few handling marks and scratches. Wood has some finish wear in addition to a few handling marks and scratches. Bore is clean with very good overall rifling. Mechanically fine. (B) Remington Model 14 slide action rifle. Made 1927. Standard patent dates on the barrel. "35" marked tube. Standard Remington proof on the right side of the barrel. Round steel barrel with blade front sight and U-notch leaf rear. Factory blued finish on the metal components. Oil finished wood stock with a ribbed forearm. Stocks are not drilled for sling swivels. Serrated metal butt plate. CONDITION: Metal retains 60% of its original finish with wear and handling marks. There is some light surface rust scattered on the frame and barrel. The right side of the safety button is painted red. There is a crack running 3/4 of the length of the forearm. There is also a hairline crack near the trigger guard. Otherwise, wood has some finish wear and handling marks. Bore is clean overall with crisp rifling. Mechanically fine. JWA
