Made at Walther in late 1939, number 268 out of the 1000 produced 1st variations with a sealed extractor. Blued 4 - 7/8" round barrel with standard sights. Matching high polish blued finish "(Walther Banner) / P-38" marked slide, frame and slide marked with Walther "(Eagle) / 359" proofs, with unnumbered "(Eagle) / 135" period Mauser made magazine. Correct factory early style black checkered resin 2-piece grips. All matching numbers, except magazine, with all correct markings with no import markings. Correct undated "P-38" marked unique black leather hard shell holster (holster resembles a converted Luger holster; possibly a prototype). Comes with 1945 dated capture papers. Please note that this P38 has been a part of numerous 1st place displays at major gun shows, including Wannemacher's Tulsa Arms Show. CONDITION: Overall 98% original military finish. Good grips with sharp checkering. Good mechanics and bright bore with visible rifling. Papers have fold marks and period staining. Holster is clean with good stitching. An interesting rig not very commonly found. This is one of the finest examples of a concealed extractor P-38 we have offered with original capture papers.
