The barrel date on this rifle is 9-43 with the RA stamp. The left side stock cartouche reads "FJA" for Frank Atwood. Both sides of the stock are stamped "C-SAA", representing a San Antonio Arsenal post war rebuild. The base of wrist has two proof "P" stamps. All other features are standard for a mid war A3 military bolt rifle to include the straight grip walnut stock with two bolt reinforcements. The rear sight is standard A3 style. All small parts are pressed steel. Finish is arsenal reblue with matte finish trigger guard. The attached sling is not original. CONDITION: Excellent as rebuilt. Metal retains majority of its blue finish with exception to guard and floor plate which show wear. The stock is excellent with minor impressions. The bright bore shows an ME reading of 0 while the TE reading is 0.5. Does not look to have seen much, if any, use since rebuild.
