Standard configuration, with a 1918 date on the receiver under the banner Mauser logo. Proper two-piece buttstock with pistol grip. Numbers are matching on the barrel, receiver, bipod base, stock, bolt release, trigger guard, and rear sight. The bolt body is not numbered, but is properly proofed under the bolt handle. The bolt parts are matching to themselves, but not the rest of the gun. Accompanied by an original MG08/15 stamped bipod, which were used interchangeably between the two types of guns. CONDITION: The gun retains a pleasing patina, mostly a dull metal color, with some light surface rust here and there. Markings are worn but legible. Some light pitting in areas. Bolt body has some moderate pitting that looks to have been smoothed down at some point. Blue on the trigger guard and bolt release. Bore has strong rifling. Stock has dings and handling marks, with good proof marks. Fine mechanical function. Bipod retains most of the painted finish but shows age. GR
