Unique Beretta Model 418 made in 1943 with Fascist 43 date code. Slide markings are unique as well as this is the only observed example with marking in deep relief. Proofed in Brescia commercially but made for the Italian and German military. These were produced up until early 1945 when all production ceased due to wartime operations. These unique pocket pistols were way ahead of their time with an internal striker fire mechanism and grip safety. Matching numbers were observed on the frame, slide and barrel. CONDITION: Very good with mottled blue finish on slide and front of frame. Bore and mechanics are fine with crisp action.
