Mono-bloc barrels are fit with a red plastic forebead on a broadway ventilated rib with machine cut matting. Top barrel with A-10 American designation and notation for 2 - 3/4" and 3" shells on left, CSMC information on right. Top barrel is decorated with approximately 1 - 3/8" long triangles of shaded scroll, with accents on bolsters. Tru-Lock chokes, Improved Cylinder in top and Skeet 1 in bottom. Round nose forearm with point pattern checking about the Deeley style latch release, with shaded acanthus scroll engraving on exterior iron. Action is engraved with more shaded acanthus scroll, with clovers on recoil shields. Left side with a nye of pheasants in a grassy scene, 1 taking off and 3 more earthbound; right with a covey of quail, all 6 airborne in a meadow scene; Underside with a pair of hunting dogs, appears to be a Brittany and a German longhair pointer, collapsing on a very alarmed looking quail. Action has bold "A10/ AMERICAN" on both sides in ribbons. Trigger guard with a vignette of a standing quail, long tang engraved with scroll en suite which extends to the grip cap, also engraved. Signed at the trigger guard "CAPECE" for Rocco Capece. Single selective inertia driven trigger, non-automatic safety with "S" inlaid in gold ahead of sliding tab. Pistol grip walnut stock of an attractive flame grain is checkered in 2 panels about the wrist, and fit with a pigskin-covered recoil pad with English style covered screws. In the appropriate CSMC logoed Americase with factory paperwork, stock weight, and barrel weights. CONDITION: Excellent, very close to if not NOS, with some very minor marks from handling and shop wear. Barrels with virtually all of their bluing with minor marks, action commensurate. Stocks excellent with some minor marks and impressions. Mechanically fine, ejectors are strong and in time, bores are excellent, bright and shiny.
