Cased pair of F.lli Rizzini sidelock ejector guns in .410 and 28 bore with 28 - 3/8” barrels. The .410 gun is choked modified and improved modified while the 28 bore gun is choked improved cylinder and modified. Length of pull of 14 - 5/16” over a checkered butt for the .410 gun with ¼” cast off while the 28 bore gun has a length of 14 - 3/8” with ¼” cast off. Straight hand grip, single non-selective inertia trigger on a square bar action, non-auto safety, smooth concave game rib with a single small front bead, small button style safety catch, borderless checkered wrist and forend, and an Anson push button forend release. The guns are housed in a leather maker’s case by Nizzoli lined in green felt with maker’s label, key, and proof certificates for both guns. The .410 gun bears Italian superior proof marks with 3” chambers while the 28 bore gun bears Italian standard proof marks with 2 - ¾” chambers. Both guns were proofed in 1982. The top ribs read “FLLI RIZZINI MAGNO V.T.”. Engraved and signed by the master engraver Angelo Galeazzi with small rose and scroll and a game scene vignette on the bottom. Magnificently executed two mourning doves in flight on the underside of the .410 gun and two snipe, one just shot and other ducking, on the underside of the 28 bore gun. Coin finish actions and furniture. Highly figured exhibition grade walnut stocks. CONDITION: The guns remain in very high and original condition. Excellent bores and bluing on barrels with some thinning of bluing on the 28 bore gun. The screws on the bottom straps slightly out of time. Checkering is crisp and clean. Stocks and forends are in near new condition with hardly any evidence of field use. Top lever right of center, on face, and ejectors in time for both guns. A Galeazzi engraved small bore sidelock pair from a house making some of the finest Italian guns.
