This extraordinarily attractive half-scale miniature serial number 10 was built by The Gatling Gun Co. and is engraved on the belly with their address. It expertly recreates the iconic 19th century Colt made Model 1876 Gatling Battery Gun, often referred to as a camel gun due to its shortened barrels which reduced weight. It features solid brass construction with 10 exposed 10-1/2" blued round to octagon barrels numbered at each breech "1" through "10" and chambered in .22 LR. Bolts can be removed through the rear as with a full-size Gatling gun. A miniature recreation of the Colt marker plate is attached to top of the body. Standard post front sight and V-notch rear sights are mounted on the right side of frame. Gun is currently mounted on a walnut and brass tripod with elevation adjustment. Complete with a matching Broadwell style drum magazine. CONDITION: Excellent. Brass exhibits a bright polish with light polishing marks and a few minor spots of patina. Barrels retain nearly all of their finish. Matching serial number "10" found on most components. Very fine bright mirror bores displaying strong rifling. Mechanically restored by Douglas Furr in 2017. BAS
