When Delta Force requested Heckler and Koch develop a new carbine, the result was the HK416, a short stroke gas piston driven rifle. The adoption of the 416 led to the development of the 417, which was a .308 version of the platform. Heckler and Koch ultimately offered both of these rifles to the civilian market as the MR556 and MR762 where they have become extremely popular. This rifle is a standard Heckler and Koch MR762A1 that features an optic ready flat top upper receiver, a 9 inch picatinny rail, left side charging handle, black anodized finish, and buttstock compartment. Comes with one ten round magazine, factory lock, manual, and tools, and factory soft carrying case. CONDITION: Gun is like new in box with only minor handling marks. An absolutely magnificent gun that would fit both in a collection and on the range.
