Lot consists of (A) Armalite AR-7 explorer semi automatic rifle. Made 1960s. This rifle has been heavily customized with a Thompson style sub-machine gun grip being added, as well as a wire stock. Stock is not folding, nor is collapsible and is being held on by a wire. Normal AR-7 explorer magazines do not fit in this rifle. Original black paint finish on the metal. Includes attached M1 carbine sling. CONDITION: Metal retains 60% of its original finish with wear and handling marks. Stock is bare metal. Bore is shiny with very good rifling. Mechanically fine. (B) Armalite AR-7 Explorer semi automatic rifle. Made early 1970s. Traditional breakdown model, with all the components fitting in the stock. Original black paint finish on the metal components. original blade front sight with standard peep hole rear. Brown plastic stock. Includes 3 original 7 round magazines and attached M1 Carbine magazine pouch. Also included is an unknown magazine, looking to be .22 caliber. CONDITION: Metal retains 60% of its original finish with light wear and handling marks. Light handling marks and scratches on the stock. Bore is clean with good retained rifling. Mechanically fine. Magazines are good overall. JWA
