Circa 2020. An exquisite Italian-built side-by-side shotgun with 32" monobloc blued steel barrels. The barrels are built with fixed chokes, ejectors, long forcing cones, and a raised cross file cut, tapered, ventilated top rib with a hi-visibility fiber optic front sight. Chokes measure .039" and .028" left and right respectively. The underside of the left barrel tube is marked "12/70" and both barrel tubes have Italian provisional proofs. The barrel flats have Italian definitive proof marks, dual date codes, serial number "40108", and "MAP". The right barrel lump marked "IMPORTER CBSS OCKATIE S.C.". The coin finish sideplate boxlock action has a smooth gold washed single inertia trigger, removable trigger group, and pinned checkered and engraved safety slide. The sideplates are adorned with game scene engraving, gold inlay, and foliate scrolls signed by engraver "Max Gobbi" on right side near trigger plate. The right plate has a field scene with gold inlay dog pointing at a falling gold inlay quail and the left plate is also a field scene with 2 gold inlay dogs pointing at 2 flushed gold inlay quail. The bottom of the action body has "PERAZZI" in banner, foliate scrolls, and gold inlay full dragons and dragon heads. Both sides of the action body have a gold inlay dragon and dragon head. The gold inlays continue to the top of the fences and engraved, pierced top lever. "BLOCCATO" is engraved on the top tang ahead of the engraved and checkered safety slide. The top of the left frame wall is marked with the serial number "40108" while the right wall is marked "MAP" and the center of the action body has proper Italian proof marks. Highly figured burled Turkish walnut stock with pistol hand grip has a right palm swell, fine line point pattern checkering and is finished to a black rubber recoil pad that says "PERAZZI ITALY". The beavertail forend with matching checkering has 2 engraved diamond inserts and is fit with coin finish iron metal and Anson-style push button release. Serial number "40108" is engraved on the interior iron metal. The gun lives in a milk chocolate color Perazzi ABS carry case. CONDITION: Excellent to near new, barrels retain 98% blue with a small rub marks on the left barrels blue finish. Ejectors are well-timed. Action is tight. Trigger is crisp. Stock and forend have very minor handling marks. Case is very good with slight handling and storage marks. (CP)
