Manufactured 1993. This rare pistol is chambered in the now obsolete .356 TSW (Team Smith & Wesson), originally intended for IPSC shooting competitions, extending the case length to allow for higher velocity and better scoring. When the bullet was disbarred by rules changes, the cartridge faded away but still maintains a devout following. This handgun features the hand rubbed stainless steel contrasted with matte blue finish. Single action only. Left side of slide marked "SMITH & WESSON" in the blued area of finish. Serial number, which is exceptionally low at 27, is on left side of frame. Right side of frame has the Performance Center medallion. Features blacked out wind adjustable Patridge front sight and BoMar style adjustable rear, left side only slide mounted hammer block safety, frame mounted slide stop, oversized button magazine release, oversized magazine well, one piece wraparound checkered plastic grips with Smith and Wesson logo. Magazine basepad marked "CP Bullets" and has the Performance Center logo on right side of tube. Comes with spare magazine with flat basepad marked "Smith and Wesson". CONDITION: Gun is in very fine condition with some hints of light edge wear and markings in the metal from mechanical use, such as a small line in line with the safety. Right side of frame has some marking on the stainless flats from paper. Assorted other minor handling marks can be seen. Fine action. Bore shows signs of having been shot but is also fine. Accompanying this pistol is approximately 600 rounds of Federal 135 grain Hydro-Shok Jacketed Hollow Point ammo, which is scarce in and of itself. A lovely lot of a seldom seen handgun in a rare caliber accompanied by plenty of ammo! CORRECTION: This gun is now accompanied by its original blue Smith and Wesson plastic case. Case is serial numbered to gun on the side with all correct identifying information. Case contains paperwork associated with the gun including warranty card, manual, and, interestingly, a letter from the Performance Center in regards to the pistol capabilities and some of its tendencies. The case is in fine condition for its age with some scattered handling marks and a few areas of discoloration. No significant areas of loss. Label is loose but still attached by a piece of tape under the left side.
