The basis for this fine custom single shot rifle is a Casimir Webber Zurich with a Swiss cross in oval on right side of frame. This is a Martini falling block action. Appears to have the original wood that would have been on this rifle, finely checkered walnut, forearm checkered with horn tip. Buttstock is beautiful walnut, straight grip, wraparound checkering, blued steel buttplate with silver inlaid oval with initials under butt. Sling swivels. The custom made barrel is octagon to fluted to octagon with a built in sling swivel. Has a ramp front sight with dovetail blade and no provision for rear sight, but does have a rail which is presently occupied by an old Weaver scope mount, but any slide on rear sight with the proper dimensions will fit. Currently sports a Weaver 3/4" Model B6 scope with standard crosshairs. It also has two facing triggers, where the front trigger sets with the rear trigger dropping the firing pin but can also be fired without being set. CONDITION: Metal retains approximately 98% of the reapplied finish done at time of custom work including both barrel and frame. Wood is excellent, proud to metal, beautiful grain, sharp checkering, has a few minor handling marks but nothing outrageous. Lever retains traces of case colors. Cannot read initials on ID plaque. Fine rifled bore with some minor powder residue that should clean. A beautiful custom Swiss target rifle with an amazing trigger.
