Barrel length 18", .45-70 caliber. This is an exquisite Winchester Model 1886 SRC that was restored and/or custom built to original Winchester quality. The 18" barrel is 4" shorter than standard. Features include: full round barrel, full magazine, takedown, post front sight, folding ladder carbine rear sight, deluxe pistol grip 3x grade walnut with ebony inset at pistol grip. The frame, lever, hammer and butt plate retain all of the Winchester quality brilliant case colors. The checkered walnut stocks are near mint and proud to metal with razor sharp checkering and the stock shows incredible grain. The rust blue finish is as new with factory sharp legends. Action is perfect. Near mint sharp rifled bore. This special order deluxe short takedown carbine appears as it would have in 1910 had you special ordered this rifle from the factory with every feature one could desire in this model. Simply breathtaking. If verified by the factory, with these features, in this condition, it would probably be one of the most valuable 1886 carbines in existence. As it sits, it is the most handsome 86 carbine we have ever seen.
