Listed in Pender's book as the Late Transition on pages 104-105. Has the three line patent address on left side of slide, Mauser banner on left side of frame, matching numbers, crown "U" on back of slide. Features the milled frame on right side, short extractor. Extractor retains nearly all of its Nitre blue finish, as do sides of trigger. We are referring to this as a late Transition due to the fact that it has the three line patent date and the 1/8"x1/4" panel above safety but has the front sight set at front, as found on the late humpback. We do not know how rare this gun is, as it has traits of both a Transition and Late Model. Fire blue on trigger, extractor and barrel release. Overall factory blue remains at 99% with just a single visible small mark and freckling on front grip strap. Grips are excellent to near mint with some added varnish. The nickel magazine is unmarked. Fine bore and action.
