Truly a fine custom Ruger No. 1 for any discerning Ruger collector. This rifle was made for American Single Shot Rifle Association (ASSRA) and is numbered #93 of 100 and was manufactured 1985. This rifle is believe to be chambered in .38-55, but is not marked on the firearm. Cast before use to confirm. The barrel is a half round/half octagon custom barrel measuring 30" in length. The muzzle has a thin engraved band with a custom scroll pattern. Near the breach face three sides of the octagon barrel have small 1.25" wedges engraved in a scroll pattern. The receiver is coin finished with fine scroll engraving highlighting a Big Horn Sheep on the left side and a Mountain Lion on the right side. The engraving is carried down to the loading lever and trigger guard. There are no sights mounted on the gun. The stocks appear to be custom walnut stocks. The forend is fitted with an triangle ebony tip which curves into the fore end and show evidence of crackling from shrinkage. It is checkered in a contemporary fluer de lis style. The butt stock features a right hand shadow line cheek piece and grip is also checkered in a contemporary fluer de lis style. The butt stock is finished with a checkered steel grip cap and Niedner butt plate. Stocks are finished with a hand rubbed oil finish. CONDITION: Extremely fine, likely unfired. Evidence of light oxidation on the face of the loading lever. JTH
