Lot contains: A) German, early 1898 Sabre bayonet with scabbard marked "Simpson & Co", 15" blade, 20-1/4" overall with walnut handles. CONDITION: Fair condition but complete and operational. B) English Pattern 188 Bayonet for Lee Metford rifle dated 3,99. CONDITION: Good with light patina. C) German manufactured bayonet for Mauser Model 1893 contract rifles. Manufactured by Simpson & Suhl. 10" blade, 15" overall without scabbard. CONDITION: Fair with lightly salt and pepper pitted with poor condition handles. D) Italian Model 198 fixed blade bayonet with scabbard. CONDITION: Good with light patina and fine scabbard. E) Winchester Model 1873 musket bayonet, 21" overall with no markings. CONDITION: Very good with light cleaned pitting at tip. F) Unmarked U.S. Model 1816 socket bayonet, 19" overall length has a 16" blade with a 9" fuller. CONDITION: Good with period staining and patina numerous small dings and nicks. G) Pristine U.S. Pattern 1816 bayonet with strong U.S. marking on blade and small "C" marking on the socket. CONDITION: Prime bayonet with only the slightest amount of period patina, a finer example would be hard to find. H) Swiss Model 1911 Pioneer bayonet without scabbard. Massive 18-1/2" blade with saw teeth and Swiss markings, dated 1934 upon the ricasso. CONDITION: Good with sharpened edge and minor scratches. I) Italian Model 1891 bayonet without scabbard for Carcano rifle. CONDITION: Fair to good condition with even patina and sharpened blade. J) English No. 4MKII spike bayonet with scabbard. Polished spike blade with black vulcanite finish on socket and scabbard. CONDITION: Very good condition.From the Jim Linton Collection
