Approximately 3,300 of these pocket revolvers were manufactured by the New Haven Arms Co. from 1860 to 1862. Oliver Winchester was the president and major stockholder of the company at this time. It is a highly unusual pistol in that it has a 2-1/4" cylinder with five chambers and ten nipples, each cylinder taking a double load. It is chambered for the .31 caliber ball. Features a 3-1/4" octagon barrel and two piece varnished walnut grips. It is a spur trigger single action and has two hammers. It is desirable in that it is unusual and its relation to Winchester. This is an iron framed model of which only 1,000 were manufactured. Barrel markings are fine. All nipples are intact and perfect. Traces of color on the hammer. Original walnut grips are excellent with minor varnish wear. Metal is basically a smooth grey patina. Fully operational. Excellent strong bore.
