May 23rd 2015 Premier Firearms Sale
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 5/22/2015
This carbine was manufactured from 1942 to 1948. It is unusual in that it appears to have been factory fitted with a fluted pistol grip stock, the type used on the Model 64 rifle being produced at the same time. Everything looks 100% factory. Wood fits perfectly, is proud to metal. Has a perfectly curved lower tang with a pistol grip lever and a checkered steel shotgun buttplate. Gun remains in 95% original condition overall. Standard features include 20" round barrel, full magazine, walnut stock, blued finish, hooded front sight, sporting rear, and is chambered for the .30-30 cartridge. There is some light wear at the muzzle and some light high edge wear at base of frame. It has the war-era flat front barrel band and long fore end. Rear barrel band screw is slightly boogered. Wood is near mint with a couple of very minor storage dings. Bore and action are near mint. Unusual high condition war-era carbine.
