26” barrel in caliber .38-40. Manufactured in 1899. This special order Marlin Model 1894 has a 2” longer than standard barrel. Other features include; full octagon, full magazine, walnut stocks, rifle buttplate with sporting front and rear sights. Sharp legends on barrel, extra sight screws on rear tang, bottom tang repair, butt stock is ill fitting and has several hairline cracks, forend is very good, all metal is a brown patina, hammer spring is weak, and bore is strong with minor black powder abrasion.
