27" barrel in .22 rimfire caliber. The 513-T Remington magazine fed bolt action target rifle was introduced in 1940. This special heavy barrel target rifle was made for the United States government and is stamped on top of the barrel and frame "U.S. Property". This model is referred to as the "Matchmaster" and sports a globe target front sight with a long range Lyman receiver sight. Heavy walnut pistol grip stock has a proof "P" on wrist. Left side of stock is stamped with "AN" date code. Has a checkered milled buttplate, military sling swivels, adjustable bar under forend, Remington magazine. Metal is finished in a military parkerized finish, of which approximately 95% remains. Stock is very good to excellent with usual dings. Fine bore and action. Nice early World War II era U.S. Property marked rifle.
