Manufacturer stamped on hilt, "Weyersberg Irschbaum & Cle Solingen". This bayonet was introduced in 1905 for the Gew98 Mauser standard rifle for the German Army during World War I. It is often referred to as the sawtooth due to the saw blade at the top. This bayonet can be found in the book by Martin Bradley entitled, "Bayonets Illustrated History" on page 85. Comes with a metal sheath.
